Decorating Tips

Joanne Goodrich moved to Suffield, Connecticut in 1977 with
her husband and young son. In 1982, Joanne became sales representative
and interior decorator for Superior Paint and Wallpaper in Windsor Locks
and successfully developed interior finishing programs for many of the
area’s builders to accommodate their clients. She furthered her
education with interior design and color theory courses, and was
instrumental in developing a very successful decorating division for
Superior Paint and Wallpaper. In 1994, Joanne and her partner, Phyllis
LaTeano, opened Superior Decor in Suffield.
Linda Carillo, who resides in Windsor, and is the mother of two boys, earned a degree in apparel merchandising from UConn in 1973. Twenty years later, when she found her interests leaning towards interior decorating, she also earned a degree in Interior Design. Linda became and associate of Superior Decor in 2002 and while she is qualified to coordinate all aspects of a design project, her particular specialties are window treatments and custom furniture. Liz Hellewell has been associated with Superior Decor since 1990. Graduated from the State University of New York, College at Oneonta and Rhode Island School of Design, Liz was a staff designer for a real estate developer in Providence for 11years, concentrating on commercial interior design and model homes. Traveling to the Southern Furniture Market in North Carolina regularly, she has a strong knowledge of many aspects of the interior design industry. She currently concentrates on fabrication, and runs a creative and efficient workroom. Her input is invaluable to the staff at Superior Decor. Liz resides in Windsor with her husband and three children.
Linda Maloney joined the staff at Superior Decor in 2005. Linda spent many years in the insurance industry before deciding to stay at home with her young family. After raising three beautiful daughters, Linda decided to explore her more creative side and obtained a degree in Interior Design from Baypath College. She has since completed projects in both residential and commercial design fields and will function not only as a designer, but also, as the administrative manager for Superior Décor. Her responsibilities will include ordering and monitoring the status of the orders, and to work closely with the other designers in terms of work orders and scheduling.
