Joanne Goodrich moved to Suffield, Connecticut in 1977 with her husband and young son. In 1982, Joanne became sales representative and interior decorator for Superior Paint and Wallpaper in Windsor Locks and successfully developed interior finishing programs for many of the area’s builders to accommodate their clients. She furthered her education with interior design and color theory courses, and was instrumental in developing a very successful decorating division for Superior Paint and Wallpaper. In 1994, Joanne and her partner, Phyllis LaTeano, opened Superior Decor in Suffield.

Phyllis LaTeano began her business career in 1972, when she and her husband purchased Superior Paint and Wallpaper in Windsor Locks, Connecticut. The business soon expanded to two retail stores with the purchase of Vernon Color World. Phyllis established a successful window treatment department and supplemented her decorating knowledge with a number of courses. After 22 years the retail business was sold, and Phyllis and Joanne opened Superior Decor.

Linda Maloney joined the staff at Superior Decor in 2005.  Linda spent many years in the insurance industry before deciding to stay at home with her young family.  After raising three beautiful daughters, Linda decided to explore her more creative side and obtained a degree in Interior Design from Baypath College.  She has since completed projects in both residential and commercial design fields and will function not only as a designer, but also, as the administrative manager for Superior Décor.  Her responsibilities will include ordering and monitoring the status of the orders, and to work closely with the other designers in terms of work orders and scheduling.
